VestlyFi is a net worth tracker and a set of financial calculators. We aim to collect as little data as possible. This policy explains what we collect, why, and how it's used.
For visitors using our calculators and diagram tools, we collect no personal information. These tools run entirely in your browser; nothing you enter is sent to our servers unless you choose to save a result to your account.
For users with a VestlyFi account (the Net Worth Tracker, Debt Tracker, and saved calculator results), we collect:
If you sign up for quarterly tax deadline reminders, we collect your email address and, if you choose one, your state. No account is needed for this.
We also collect basic analytics data through Google Analytics, including pages visited, approximate location (country/region), browser type, and time on page. This data is aggregated and not tied to your identity.
If you use the Net Worth Tracker, we may email you a reminder on the 1st of the month when you haven't logged a snapshot in over 30 days, at most once a month. These emails include the date of your last entry, never your balances.
If you signed up for quarterly tax deadline reminders, we email you shortly before each federal estimated tax due date.
Every reminder email has an unsubscribe link that works in one click.
Account and financial data is stored in Supabase, a managed database platform hosted on AWS. Access through the site is protected by row-level security, so other users can never see your data. As the operator of the service, VestlyFi has administrative access to the database. We don't browse individual users' financial data, and we only access it when needed to maintain the service, to help with a request you make, or to meet a legal obligation.
We use HTTPS on all pages. Passwords are hashed using industry-standard bcrypt.

We do not sell your data to any third party, and we do not run advertising on VestlyFi.
If VestlyFi is sold, merged with another company, or transfers its assets, user data (including account and financial data) may be transferred to the new owner as part of that transaction. The new owner must honor this policy for data collected under it. Before your data becomes subject to a different privacy policy, we will post a notice on this page and email account holders.
You can edit or delete any entry in your trackers at any time. To delete your account and all associated data, or for any other question or request about your data, email us at vestlyfi@gmail.com and we'll handle it promptly. You can unsubscribe from reminder emails at any time using the link in each email.
If we make material changes to this policy, we'll update the date at the top of this page. Continued use of VestlyFi after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
